"...birdo flugas" is the name of an artist-run organization that aims to foster dialogue and communication between artists working in Canada and Japan. We held "something pale pink" in Tokyo and Sendai in 2006 as the inaugural exhibition of the "...birdo flugas" project. Along with this exhibition, we have produced a mini catalogue. As a lasting document of the exciting emerging artists we brought together for this exhibition, we would be pleased and honoured to distribute this catalogue through your store.

The "something pale pink" exhibition included New York based designer Robin Cameron (www.rocamm.com), an active design unit called Fighting (www.shedoesntloveyouanymore.com) whose clients are Element Skateboards and Sprite, and Shayne Ehman, and artist who is well known for his collbarative work with Vancouver artist Jason McLean. The exhibition also included the work of 13 emerging artists and the entire show and catalogue centres on the curatorial proposition of making "something pale pink."

The portable, A6 sized catalogue includes colour images of 15 artworks from the exhibition as well as short essays by Makiko Hara (Independent Curator "Architypes" in Canada, Australia and Japan) and Contemporary Art Critic/Author/Curator, Patrik Andersson (who has published "Inside Magazine" etc.).
